Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of Coibeacon. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

01The service
Coibeacon is a software tool that reads Certificate of Insurance packets — the ACORD form and its endorsement pages — and surfaces how the extracted text lines up against the insurance requirements you configure. It is a detection aid for your team. It highlights what the documents appear to say and where information may be missing, so that a qualified person on your side can review and decide.
Coibeacon does not make legal or coverage determinations, and the finding it surfaces is not a verdict. Your reviewer owns every decision. Coibeacon does not verify active coverage with carrier. The service reads documents; it does not contact carriers, and it cannot confirm that any policy is in force. A certificate of insurance does not by itself confer additional-insured status — only the underlying endorsement does — and Coibeacon does not change that.
02Accounts and eligibility
Coibeacon is a business tool intended for organizations and their authorized users. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account.
You must be authorized to act for your organization to accept these terms, and you must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
03Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload documents you do not have the right to share with the service;
- use the service to break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or evade an insurance or contractual obligation;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other customers’ data;
- resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted in writing.
You remain responsible for having a qualified person review any output before relying on it.
04Subscription and billing
Paid plans are provisioned after a conversation with our team, and billing is handled through our payment processor, Stripe. Unless your order states otherwise, invoices are payable on the terms set out in that order (for many customers, net-30 by invoice or ACH).
Fees are stated exclusive of taxes. Plan tiers, caps, and prices may change on reasonable notice; changes do not apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
05Your content and data
You keep ownership of the documents and data you upload. You grant Coibeacon the limited rights needed to host, process, and display that content so we can provide the service to you — including running automated extraction and rule evaluation on the documents you submit.
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
06Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coibeacon disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Automated extraction can be wrong or incomplete. Coibeacon does not warrant that its output is accurate, complete, or sufficient for any purpose, and it is not a substitute for review by a qualified human, your broker, or your legal and risk advisors. Coibeacon does not verify active coverage with carrier.
07Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coibeacon will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or relating to the service.
Coibeacon’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
08Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we are required to by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive — such as data ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — continue to apply.
09Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
10Governing law
These terms will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Coibeacon is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, once that jurisdiction is finalized. Before bringing any formal dispute, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve it in good faith.
